Luggage Storage

Hi All

We are catching the early train up from Bangkok and spending the day sight seeing. We are then catching the overnight train to Chiang Mai at approx 9pm.

What options are there for luggage storage near the train station?

Can anyone recommend a cheap day room option? (We will not be sleeping there)

Any recent recommendations for a good guide?

Cheers

All relatively major Thai stations offer Left Luggage.

But getting an inexpensive hotel room for the day is a really good idea. You can store your baggage there, and get a rest and a shower after a hot, sweaty day of seeing the temples.

I%26#39;ve never stayed there personally, but Lima Place could be what you%26#39;re looking for. 1 km from the station, 400 baht for fan rooms, good reviews. http://tinyurl.com/a2rhjn

For rock bottom, there%26#39;s Ayutthaya Guest House, 180 baht with shared bathroom. http://tinyurl.com/79k7g7

Baankrunpa Guest House is closest to the station, and seems to be very cute, three wooden houses full of period furnishings. 400 baht with private bathroom. http://tinyurl.com/8elqdg

Thanks for the tips Bill.

We were not kean on jumping on the overnight train without having a shower and freshen up first. 400THB seams cheap to feel clean for an overnight train adventure.
