Wedding Suits need tailor

Hi all,

I have used the search function with not much luck.

I am getting married early next year and coming to Phuket for few weeks early October with my best man and one of the groomsmen, I am looking at getting my wedding suit and the 5 groomsmen suits tailored while in Phuket. Plus a few business suits

Approx 8 -10 suits in total

Can anyone reocmmend a high quality tailor in Phuket, I am not looking for for the cheapest or the quickest. But someone who has a reputation for good quality and good customer care.

I also need help to know what unit of measurement the tailors will be using mm, cm, in etc as I have to get some of the groomsmen measured in Aus before i come.

Hi mayoh, There are hundreds of tailors in Phuket,

Narry%26#39;s, Big Boss Fashions, and Peach Thai tailor to name a few that I can remember going into.

Haven%26#39;t had a suit made for many years in Phuket but Armani on beach road made the most divine thai silk suits back then.

If you don%26#39;t feel comfortable in one store there are plenty more to choose from. Some tailors are very pushy, you don%26#39;t have to deal with that just be firm.

has a listing of tailors, also many have emails so you can contact them to find out what measurements they use.

Also you may try reading some recent just back reports, people tend to say if they got anything made and what the service was like. Sue

We had a suit made in December 2008 for our son%26#39;s school ball from Hong Kong Tailor in Patong. 116/1 Soi Kepsub Thaweewong Rd (Beach Rd). It%26#39;s just down an alley near Burger King. It%26#39;s dark grey with a fine stripe cashemere wool. They did a beautiful job and we are very happy with it. Cost $AUD140 which we thought was a bit much (had suits made before much cheaper) however we shopped around and that was the going price for good quality fabric with triple stitching. They basically made this suit in three days and it fits perfectly. We picked this tailor on a whim and our friends used a tailor recommended to them and our suit turned out perfect and they weren%26#39;t that happy with their overpriced clothes (pants, dresses and shirts). There are plenty of good tailors, sometimes I think you can just be lucky. Good Luck.

We went to a place called Scada at the Laguna complex about 20mins out of Patong. We were staying at the Chedi %26amp; Amanpuri so it was convenient and came highly recommended from a local expat we are friends with.

We were absolutely thrilled with the result. we had 8 suits made and could not fault them.

Scada was pricier than other places but at the end of the day if i was getting 8 tailored wool cashmere suits made in Sydney i would be looking at much more than what it cost me.

Once i receive the wedding photos i will email you a few.
