Camping on Maya Bay

I have read that you can go Camping on Maya Bay. Apparently this tour only started in 2007. Does anyone have any information on where I can go to book this, what price is costs etc?

The only thing I have figured out so far is that the group meets are the lemon grass on phi phi before going out. Please any information?

Camping on Maya Bay

I found the website...

It is www.mayabaycamping.com

I emailed them to try book for our upcoming trip and I got the following reply :

';We go every day and are never full so just come to Lemongrass restaurant when you come to PP and book and pay then. We leave from Lemongrass at 4pm each day. The cost is 1900 baht per person. Our group size averages 21. We go with a minimum of 4 people.

There is a map and full details on the web site www.mayabaycamping.com';

We want to do it but I would prefer to be able to book in advance and lock it in, rather than travel all the way to PP for the day to find out its not running!

Camping on Maya Bay

Thanks so much! Im so excited. I wanted to stay a couple days on phi phi anyways.

Regarding Maya beach on Phi Phi Ley, dont expect deserted paradise thesedays. Cant see the beach for longtails and speedboats, Di Capprio sure made it famous. Hong and Bamboo islands may be better for that getaway experience.

Absolutely agree....we went early morning, half seven, and by the time we left a couple of hours later,it was already starting to get busy.

There are other truly prettier beaches around the area, and less crowded too .

Eddie and Tiffin,

Can you not read the above post?

Are you just replying based on the title of this post. I have been to Maya Bay before FYI and I know what to expect. This is a camping tour for an overnight on the island, I am not planning to camp on my own accord there. Perhaps you should fully read a thread before posting. Seriously, I look at your two posts and think WTF????

WTF

Mmm.....Maybe if you had taken the time to mention ';camping on Phi Phi Ley'; and not just Maya beach, the reply may have been different.

Enjoy your camping experience.

It is camping on the beach Eddie.

The tourists eventually go home for dinner, we go on our camping tour, the tourists come back in the morning. Its not too complicated.

It is called Mayabaycamping, I really dont see where I need to say phi phi ley, you just dont like to read a thread before you post, really its pretty darn clear.

Read and fully understood your posting.

Having done island camping, and imagine your are making your way to Phuket or Krabi for transfer to Phi Phi Don, was suggesting that some other options may hold more appeal, or at least more scope.

Maybe one option to look at??

Of course if this offends, don%26#39;t bother to reply, or should you choose to, refrain from the gutter language and insults.

Thanks

Eddie.

Thanks anyways Eddie.

I have been to Thailand before. I do plan to island hop, go to northern Thailand and inbetween and do many other things that you may find more appealing. However I previously couldn%26#39;t find the information to Maya Bay Camping and that is why I posted here. I am sorry you mistook it as a plea for help. I have much time to spend in Thailand and I am fitting in everything I can, no matter what your opinion might be. BTW I have not resorted to gutter language, please don%26#39;t assume I would.

Sorry if I seem a little grouchy towards you.

But I am getting tired of unsolicated help in my threads.

Thanks but no thanks.
