never been to thailand before and looking to book a 2 week holiday over xmas and new year , 2 single guys going 28 %26amp; 35 , looking for a laugh and a bit of golf . where the best place 2 go ??? and what 2 see %26amp; do while there, any tips wecome thank u

No contest. Pattaya wins hands down. For two young single blokes like yourself, Pattaya offers it all. The golf courses are fantastic. Try www.golfasia.com and then research the local courses. They are top notch. As for the night life... well Pattaya seems to cater for just about anything one could imagine. On the financial side of things; Phuket is extremely tourist orientataed and as a result, you pay tourist prices, which is very expensive compared to Pattaya.

There are plent of tours and trips around to go on, Koh Larn island etc, the local experts will add more attractions for you to see, also browse the other posts as lots of lists of places to see and visit in the area.

Phuket is more ';up-market'; than Pattaya, but for sheer VFM and plenty of nightlife and sxe, Pattaya wins hands down. there are of course other attractions (inc golf0 but don%26#39;t expect good beaches or water quality - you have to go down the coast for that.
