Where should I stay in Phuket?! Looking for a luxury hotel..

A few I%26#39;ve looked at so far are Aleenta, which I saw was not even on Phuket Island. I%26#39;m looking for other suggestions. I%26#39;m going in early December and looking for a high end hotel, in the 11,000-15,000/night Thai Bhat Range (around USD$350-$450/night). Another island I was looking at was Koh Lanta and the Pimalai Resort %26amp; Spa. Any suggestions, thoughts,etc...?

Thanks everyone!

FYI, this is for my honeymoon.

Thanks again!

What about Krabi vs Phuket?

hi,krabi is probably a beter honeymoon destination a lot more relaxed and stress free try looking at the nakamanda, where good old fashioned service prevails and you will be made to feel like a real special couple for the duration of your stay.

Cool, thanks.

I think we%26#39;re leaning towards 3 nights at TwinsPalms and 3 nights in The Racha on Racha Yai island.

any one have any thoughts/comments on that?

does anyone have any info on Pimalai on Koh Lanta?

Twin Palms is fantastic, although the hotel is not right on the beach, you just have a short walk through a park, it is very stylish and they have a really good beach club that guests have access to.

Only comment, 3 nights might not be enough....

Hi two High end resorts that I have consistently heard great things about are

Trisara and the Aman Puri. Trisara is newer and the Aman Puri is a classic hosting many A list celebrities..

Trisara is quite isolated but on a honeymoon you may enjoy it...

I just went to Koh Lanta, I have to say I was not impressed with the Island at all!

There is Koh Yao island..

Paradise Resort Koh Yao and Six Senses has a resort there too.

Congrats on the nuptials!

If you can tell us how you plan to spend days and evenings it helps.

There are many beaches and plenty of Phuket luxury hotels, resorts and places with small pools etc, but depends on how much time you want to spend in the resort and also of great importance is if you wish to be %26#39;right on the beach%26#39; or you are happy with a %26#39;walk to the beach%26#39;.

Telling us if being %26#39;on the beach%26#39; is important and to many it is, that eliminated places and helps to narrow it down.

Also, do you want to go out to a large choice of restaurants in the evenings, perhaps a bar or do some shopping or do you just want to relax and perhaps a %26#39;few%26#39; places nearby to eat will suffice.

Im staying at Sri Panwa later this month, that%26#39;s meant to be in the top end. Will give you a report later on what its like. This is listed at 40K baht per night on their website.

Others I have considered are:

Trisara

Amanpuri

I was looking at a few high end sites for our wedding and found this website that covers high end resorts in Phuket. The site is a bit hard to navigate but info is high end at the very least.
