Hi all, has anyone visited koh Talu from Cha Am, if so is it worth a visit, i have read it is 3 hours away by car. Has anyone been for the day or also stayed over, if so who is a good company to book with, we are staying at the Holiday Inn. thanks
koh Talu
It%26#39;s about 2 hours 30 from Hua Hin so the extra 20 minutes from Cha Am.
The day trip to snorkel is very popular. You can stay overnight on the island if you wish. Well worth the day trip.
All the tour operators do it. Chgeck the price from the Holiday Inn and then check the prices from the tour agents in Hua Hin around the Hilton area.
It can be %26#39;very expensive%26#39; to stay overnight though.
There are some nice resorts in Bang Saphan area ( mainland ).
If you haven%26#39;t booked your entire time at the Holiday Inn you could take a couple of nights in Baan Krud or Bang Saphan area, get there with a car+driver or if you are a little adventurous take the train down, or car+driver down and take the train back.
Here are some photos ( I don%26#39;t speak Swedish either but just happens to be some nice photos ! )

This is a smaple of the day trip, but I would wait until you are in Cha Am / Hua Hin, but you get the idea of what to expect

koh Talu
We liked it when we were there in 2005. It%26#39;s small and quiet and the snorkelling is good there. It was one of the highlights for us and our kids (2 and 4 then).
We booked thru a small office in Cha%26#39; am near the Methavallai but I guess all the locl agencies can book you as it is popular with Thai too.
If you go, have fun!!
You did not mentione time of year but Koh Talu should be fine weather all the weay through until early October.
Most tours include snorkeling gear and also seafood lunch.
Hi We went to Koh Talu last year August. We booked through an agent in Hua hin. We stayed one night, all transfers and meals were included. We paid £120.00 for 2 adults and 1 child. The island is fantastic, chalets are basic and have an outside cold shower, this only adds to the adventure. If you have any questions let me know.
