Quiet place to stay for family with toddler on Ko Phangan

I%26#39;m looking for a quiet, beautiful, and not incredibly expensive (under 1500 baht, well, as cheap as possible but still nice and comfortable)place to stay with my husband and our 1.5 year old daughter. No parties or noise, where we can get a good night%26#39;s sleep.

Also, do these beaches have dogs barking at night like we had in Goa, India?

Thanks!!

Take a look at the ';Rungarun'; resort in Ban Tai

We had a beach front bungalow, there are only 3 and they even have a bath tub!

They have a private beach that is cleaned and raked every morning.

the gardener will go and get you coconuts and open them for you if you ask.

This was the best bit of beach and cleanest in ban tai.

Didnt hear any dogs in five nights but could hear the fishingboats a lot going out at sunset.

Small family run resort with a swimming pool and the resort next door has a great resturaunt next to the Rungarun resturaunt.

Best thing it is in between Tongsala and Haad Rin

With the main road just down a pathway from the resort so easy access to transport for both places.

It is nice and quiet at night without being too far from anywhere, we walked to Tongsala a few times but its a bit of a trot in the heat.

Be aware though that the tide is out most of the day on Phangan in certain months.

In June last year it was only ankle deep on most beaches during the day.

You could almost walk from Ban tai beach back to Bophut beach on samui.

Hi Plarka,

We spent a week in Dec in Salad Hut and lived it. We have children and also saw 2 families with toddlers. The place is great, really clean, great food and sand is powder. Just a few steps down from the pool. There are only 10 bungalows so its good and quiet. All have a terrace with a day bed and hammock. We used to have a drink outside when the kids went to bed, lying in the hammock reading. No sound but the sea, under the coconut trees. We barely left it for the week. making myself sick here, want to go back. B

No problem with dogs on Phangan , the odd bit of barking , but not continuous and nothing like the ear bashing you can get in Goa.

Salad Huts are nice , but will probably cost you more than 1500 a night.
