Anyone who has taken an excursion Wayfarers Travel

Hello everyone:

We have booked a 3 day/2 night trek with Wayfarers Travel out of Chiang Mai that includes the follwoing:

Highlights = Lahu village %26amp; homestay, elephant trekking, long tail boat trip, Padong (long neck) tribe, Chiang Dao Caves, Chiang Saen (on the banks of the Mekong River), Mae Sai (border town), Chiang Rai, Thaton, Doi Suthep temple

If anyone has taken any trips with this company, comments/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. There are literlly dozens of operators so choosing one was hard. They seemed good but websites can be deceiving.

Thanks to all

Hi Rodi-

We are thinking about Wayfarers for our trip to Chiang Mai. Was wondering what your experience was like with them?

We are thinking about doing the 1 day trek excursion.

BTW- we live in San Ramon--pretty close to Walnut Creek!

Thanks,

JS

Hi JS:

We are not going until November, so I cant tell you anything yet. However, I%26#39;d be happy to let you know after we%26#39;re done.

Hi Rodi2008!

Thanks for your reply. We will be going there in June...so I may be able to fill you in after my return. I still haven%26#39;t confirmed my plans though.

Hi JS:

If you do stay there, please do fill me in on any details you feel like sharing. I spent a few weeks researching but when you travel and rely on others comments, it can often be a crap-shoot. We prefer not top be right on top of the main tourist areas but still close enough to the night markets and other stuff. The Sira sounds like it meets our needs and the price is right.

Have fun ! Hope we have a portfolio left by November; good thing we got a big Federal tax refund !
