2nd meeting 4th March

How did it go?

2nd meeting 4th March

Seven at the second meeting too! Everyone enjoyed the food and the music.

Great credit to Julie for coming all the way back from Phuket courtesy of the very engaging Mr.Sam who, among other things, taught us some more essential Thai phrases like ';No, thanks, I am full'; brought tiger balm for those suffering from mossie bites and cashew nuts for those who weren%26#39;t! The crowd from the Le Meridien were a bit puzzled (well one of them anyway) as to why the S*x Pistols were not part of the musician%26#39;s repertoitre. Can%26#39;t imagine why!

Thanks to everyone for two great evenings.

2nd meeting 4th March

Sounds like you all had a lot of fun, the Tiger balm really does help (so does a bit of Vicks vapour rub) well it works on me anyway, cant wait to go back to Khao end of year, its freezing over here, Enjoying your Photos.

Manicus.

More mossie bites for me than ever before this year. Still as long as they spare her Mrs A is happy. We find an ice cube as soon afrer a bite then tiger balm or other ointment to help a lot. Antihistamine tablets have helped stop the itching.

Yes it was a great evening and the music was so good i had to stop myself from dancing on the tables and be on my best behaviour. The everyday restaurant and bar is a great place to go and the food is delicious. It was lovely to meet up with everybody and i have to say thankyou to Mr Sam for driving me to Khao Lak and back again.Alan and Barbara enjoy the rest of your stay and the beach house can not wait for the update.

Julie

Thank you Alan, Julie and Barbara for a fab evening the other night! Its a real pleasure to put names to faces!

Alan - thanks for taking that photo on Thursday at the Boatyard, we actually stayed there all day and eventually the weather brightened up and it was lovely. Mind you I did jump more than just a bit when that couple of claps of thunder (one accompanied by lightning) came along, the one clap was right above us and I have never heard such loud thunder!

We stayed and had our evening meal there about 6 ish as we only had those picky bits with our drinks earlier in the day, and then was treated to an amazing sunset!

When we left we had a load of hugs and they all came out to wave goodbye, all of us felt very emotional!

To anyone going out there the Boatyard is just wonderful, must admit it was my favourite eating place the whole holiday! everydays was very good as well!

Julie - hope you had a good trip the next day!

I think its a great idea to have these meet ups! Maybe next year another one?

Hi Sarah,

Great to have met you too! The weather had picked up too by the time we got back to Bang Niang so went on the beach here and viewed the same wonderful sunset.

Don%26#39;t forget to PM me your Email address so that I can forward the photos.

Would you like one of the snake we nearly trod on as we left Monty the Tailor%26#39;s last night? A small, beautiful but poisonous one which Monty and Brother Tony calmly ushered into a plastic bag before Monty jumped on his scooter and to took it up into the hills to release. A braver man than me!!!!!!

Best Wishes

Alan
