Ko Lanta Bungalows

Hi All

We will be holidaying in Ko Lanta from the beginning of April to mid April.

Can anyone give any feedback on good decent bungalow accommadation on Ko Lanta? We would not want to spend any more than THB 1000 per night.

We will be on Lanta for approx 7 days if we like it, less if we do not like it. We would be happy staying in the north, middle, south of Lanta or even Old Lanta Town.

We will also have a vehicle as we will be driving around from Phuket.

We will be on our honeymoon and would like at least one option to chill out and relax.

We look forward to your recommendations.

Cheers Kiwi Pete

Ko Lanta Bungalows

I can recommend DR Lanta resort in the north west part of Koh Lanta. It麓s a simple resort, but we liked it alot. Their restaurant is the best, if you like thailandfood. Another resort which is just a bit more expensive is Southern Lanta at the same beach.

A very good site to book hotel at is www.sawadee.com. Everything worked out great with all our bookings.

We also stayed at Somkiet Buri resort in Krabi. Very great hotel, like stayin in a djungle.

Good luck on your trip. Thailand is the best place!

Thanks Lidhammar.

Anybody else with any suggestions? There must be some establishments there which do not have websites.

Hi

We have booked Lanta Castaway resort for 6 nights end of march. Can%26#39;t wait. It looks fab and gets great reviews here on tripadvisor. I want to be there now! We booked garden bungalows for 800 per night, they look fine. Basic but nice. Check out Lanta castaway here on tripadvisor or look up www.lantacastaway.com

Hi

Just returned from Koh Lanta and we stayed in the %26#39;sea sun sun%26#39; bungalows on Klong Khong beach. Good bungalows with AC and swimming pool. The going rate was 1500 bht but we negotiated 1000baht without breakfast (we were staying for 15 nights though).

Good Luck and enjoy Lanta

Hi all

Thanks for the replies.

Does any one else care to share their favorite Bungalows in Ko Lanta?

The more feedback the better. We leave for Ko Lanta in under 3 weeks.

Cheers

Hi Pete

I have been to Lanta quite a few times now as my best mate lives out there.

I can highly recommend http://www.lantanaturebeachresort.com/ which is just down the road from http://www.cook-kai.com/ this in my humble opinion is the best restaurant around, the hosts are great and the food even better.

In November when I went I stayed on Long Beach at http://www.sandybeachlanta.com/ Another nice place a minutes walk from the beach and good chill out bars and top restaurants either side of it. You should be able to get a concrete bungalow with air con, tv, fridge and hot shower for 700/800 a night, the lady who runs it is really friendly and will do anything to help.

Have a great time and any questions please ask.

Graham

Fisherman cottage has a great atmosphere. Cute bungalows, (no hot water) but very clean, pretty, outstanding staff-will do anything for you. quiet, good food-right on the beach.
