Some advice please ?

Im looking to go Thailand this year, we want to go to puket for a week and koh sumui for a week. Are these places far apart ? Can anyone recomened the best way of doing it, i.e Go to puket for the 1st week because its closer to the airport etc. I have never been before so any advice is welcome.

Im thinking of going some time between April - July is any month better for us. Cheaper or hotter

thanks

Jon

Some advice please ?

Jon

April - July period is better suited to Koh Samui than Phuket as it`s the monsoon period for Phuket.

They are close to each other if you fly between the 2 being only a 45 min flight, however if you choose the overland route it`s around a 12 hr trip allup.

Somebody who has done what you`re asking may be of a greater help but too me I can`t see a great difference in which order you choose.

Some advice please ?

Hi Jonboy

If you are travelling in April / May and possibly June both islands are a possibility but would still recommend you read some weather sites on line. July is definitely mid rainy seson in Phuket so if you like rain (some do) then it need not put you off.

There are charter flights from the UK to Phuket so if that is what you are considering it may be the easiest option for you but come sooner rather than later - i.e. April rather than July.

You can easily do a hop on Bangkokair from Phuket to Samui. They are a 45 min flight apart (do not consider overland for a short holiday) but understand the weather can be different.

If you are flying to Bangkok the flights are equally simple. Hope this helps.

Im not really looking for a rainy holiday so i think id be better going ASAP ! Whats the best time of year to go to Puket then ? If I went in April would the weather be good in both places ?

We have enough rain in England im looking for sun sun and more sun

Thanks for the advice :)

The monsoon season is for Phuket is April to November. The problem is it could come earlier or later it`s anybodies guess. If April is the earliest you can come then I would be in Phuket on the 1st %26amp; then do Samui.

That for me would give you the best chance of good weather if coming in April. One thing to consider if you do get some wet weather is the rain won`t be cold as in the UK.
