We are staying at the Eastin spa in bangkok, does anyone know if the train from airport runs and stops at this hotel,if so is it finished and running? cost? Is this hotel close to lumpini npark? We are staying in a differnt area this time.If anyone has stayed at hotel recently can they tell us if it is still good?
eh holden
hotel eastin
It%26#39;s miles from Lumpini. Highway runs past the hotel.
The airport train isn%26#39;t running yet. Only test runs. May be from August on a scheduled basis.
I don%26#39;t think there will be a stop at the Eastin. From what I understand you have to go to Makkasan station to go to the airport.
I just go by what I read. Another member may know more about train stops.
hotel eastin
thanks. we like to walk lots ,do you know how many km.
eh holden
From Eastin to Lumpini park? I%26#39;d say about 7 kms. but I am not good at distance. The hotel is on Petchburi road. If you really want to walk, go through either Soi Chidlom or Wireless Road. However, I don%26#39;t recommend walking at night.
The Airport Link train does not operate yet.
The hotel was renovated on 2007, if my memory serves me right.
Eastin is located about 30-45min walk from Lumphini Park.
The skytrain link isnt openned yet, but when it opens it will be a 3-5min walk from the Hotel.
Rooms recently renovated and are very nice.
If you like street food, lots of it outside the hotel.
thanks very much, we want to go to china town , what do you suggest for transport to get there and back. what cost would we be looking at. Is there a good time to go?
thanks again
thanks for that , this is not the usual area we stay in and are wanting to venture to different areas, any other suggestions around that area for shopping?
thanks again
Eastin hotel is located around the corner,5min walk from Pratunam. ALOT of shopping. and from there a short walk to Central World and Paragon etc.
I would like to correct my previous answer. I was extremely wrong about the distance. After measuring up from the map, the distance from Eastin Hotel to Lumpini Park should be only about 3 kms., not 7 as I said earlier.
From your hotel to China Town, you can either use public bus or taxi. You can go any time but there are seafood stalls in the area in the evening. Taxi fair should not go over 100 Baht.
wow, that close to pratnum, that is where we usually stay, so we should find our way around ok then. Thanks for answering.
thanks for the update and taking time to find us answers.
