Ti Trang Beach Resort

I have a week booked at the Tri Trang Beach Resort near Patong Beach this July. Has anyone ever stayed there? Is it difficult to get about to sights, tours, etc, from there? Distance, time and price for transport from airport? Any driver suggestions?

Ti Trang Beach Resort

We just got back from a week at the Tri Trang Beach resort. They have a free shuttle into Patong about 4 times a day which we used to get into town and then booked tours from one of the many agency kiosks. Much cheaper then organising things from the hotel, but do shop around as prices vary a lot.

The hotel is about an hours drive from the airport. We had an airport transfer to the hotel included in our deal and just organised a taxi for the return trip, which i think cost us 600THB.

Thanks for the info. How long is the ride from the Resort to a town on the shuttle? We will leave Bali for 2 weeks in July, with the first week in Penang, Malaysia, and then a week in Phuket. What did you think of the Tri Trang? What tours, etc, did you do during your Holiday there? Where is the best place to change money? Any litle restaurants within walking distance of the Restort?

There are so many questions, but still some time to get them all answered..... :o)
