White Sand is a short walk to the very center of town, I can%26#39;t guess to precise on time to walk to the beach but it%26#39;s not far, you want down past Sofitel and near Hilton and then walk down to the beach from there, I am guessing about 10 minutes onto the beach.
It is easy to walk along from there to the nightlife area near Hilton.
It%26#39;s not on the beach, pool is small, but quite good for the price.
Thipurai City is right in the center of the restaurant and bars area. White Sands though is less busy area yet still convenient.

A one bedroom suite seems only about AU$9 more than a normal room.
10 minute slow walk is correct. The hotel is decent but nothing special. I%26#39;ve stayed a couple of times in the past with no complaints.
Thank you guys , going to book up now.
a really lovely place to stay (but not on the beach) is Baan Pap Ploy on Damnoenkasem Road which is central for eating/bars. I stayed there on 23 Feb this year and paid THB13,00 which is about 拢26. The room was all-white with a big tv and lovely bathroom and the price includes breakfast. Am presuming all rooms are the same, for info the room I stayed in was room 301 which was on the front but noise wasn%26#39;t a problem from the road. This was one of the best places we stayed in Thailand. It%26#39;s not very far to walk to the beach cos Hua Hin isn%26#39;t a massive place. The receipt says www.baanpaploy.com so give it a look.

Stewie.
