best hotel in Phuket - ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hello, my fiance and I would like to have a Thai wedding on the beach this Dec. We are thinking somewhere in Phuket but have no clue where - there are so many beaches.

We want a top of the line resort, but dont want to be in the middle of the %26#39;party%26#39; scene%26#39;.

We were also thinking maybe Ko Phi Phi may be a better option.

Any recommendations for resorts, beaches would be greatly appreciated!

Last year we spent 8 nights at the Le Meridien Hotel on Phuket and thought it was fabulous. The rooms were large, the views beautiful. The pool is huge, one of the best we%26#39;ve seen. The beach is very nice, and secluded in a cove. There are several restaurants on site and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet, and pretty, but a short taxi ride to Patong if you want some shopping, more restaurants, and nightlife. I think you could have a beautiful wedding there, and your guests would certainly enjoy it.
