I just got back from Thailand. I would be happy to help you with any questions you may have regarding Kanchanaburi, Bangkok, Surat thani, Koh Phangan Island.

Just back from Thailand - U Got ????

Hello travel lover!

I am planning to visit koh samui and koh phangan end of march beginning of april, really want to do full moon party whilst out there! Would u recommend stayin in koh phangan for about 5 nts whilst party is on or just stay in samui for whole time then just go to koh phangan for full moon party?

What do u think weather will be like?

I would definately recommend staying on Koh Phangan island for as long as you can. It is less touristy and so very beautiful and fun! Haad Rin is beautiful and you%26#39;ll enjoy your time there for the full moon party. However, if you want the most amazing beach bum experience travel up to the northern tip of the island to Bottle Beach! It is absolutely incredible! Then over to Koh Samui.

Ok Thanks.

If we were to stay up north of island. would it be easy to get to Haad Rin beach? how long a journey roughly?

thank you

Oh how nice of you! I%26#39;m thinking of going to Maenam Beach and Ko Pha Ngan (maybe Than Sadet or Baan Kai?)next month with my husband and our one and a half year old. I chose those places because I was told they were really quiet. But then someone just said today that the whole island of Ko Pha Ngan is for ravers. Is this true? Should we go somewhere else if we want totally quiet evenings and nights to sleep?

';....someone just said today that the whole island of Ko Pha Ngan is for ravers';

No , don%26#39;t worry , that%26#39;s just not true. I don%26#39;t know who told you that , but they have no clue.

I completely agree with the previous blog. Koh Phangan is definately not just for ravers. There are so many goregous, traquil, and very very relaxing beaches on the island. We noticed the southern, and south eastern sides were a bit more busy, but still very beautiful. We had great luck with finding quiet beaches on both the northern and north eastern sides.

The journey from the northern beach of Bottle Beach to Haad Rin pennisula ( south easter tip ), takes about 1 hour in a taxi. Costing about $30 US dollars. The other option is taking a long tail boat. When I first heard of this idea, I thought it would be complicated to book and organize a long tail boat taxi, but it could%26#39;nt have been easier to book with the reception staff. That is one thing I really noticed about Thailand. It is so so easy to travel around there is always transportation available.
