dinner cruise on the river

hi my husband and i will be leaving in a week for bangkok.it will be our first time there, staying for four days,we would like to book a dinner cruise for our 1st year wedding anniversary as soon as we get there, will booking two days befor be enough time.also can we just get a table for two,i have heard that on the buffet cruises that you have to share tables,it would just take the romance out of the trip.are there any buffet cruises you would recommend that have tables for two with top deck views.any feed back would be helpful, thanks.

The age of Romance is not dead- good. I have tried a couple of dinner cruises. The first with the Montien Riverside Hotel- ok I did it it with my son but it was a smaall converted Rice Barge and we did have a table to ourselves with a set menu.

I saw this link (which I am going to keep for future ref )provided by a member ( thanks Ervin )the other day which I thought was extreemly useful Post Title Night River Cruises (04/03)bangkokpicture.com/attractions/chaophrayariv鈥?/p>

My second I arranged with Wandee a Bangkok tour guide before I left the UK. This was an excellant evening and we had our own table. So as a backstop you could mail her and ask for a quote. cin1133@yahoo.com or website wandeetoursforyou.com

Me I would arrange before I arrived, not just to secure a place, but just to know I have it booked. Always time flys in Bangkok, maybe I just get caught up in the general buzz.

Congratulations on your first do have a great time together in Thailand.

Best wishes

David

hi done the loy nava for our anniversary in october absolutely faultless.www.loynava.com you will not be dissapointed.

Hi Kutie,

Loy Nava will be good for an anniversary dinner. It is a choice of two set menus, served at diners individual tables. It is not like some of the big river cruisers that have self service buffets. The food is Thai, and has a great variety - far more than one can eat.

There is a solo musician that plays lovely calming Thai music and some dancing during the evening.

The host is very attentive and gives a great personal touch.

Tip - book on their internet site for the best possible price, choose one of each of the Thai option menus and share the big selection of dishes that arrive.

Kutie, the Loy Nava is a good choice for a romantic dinner as it is a converted wooden barge. 2 days is enough time but it also depends on the demand for that particular day.

If you do miss that, you can still book the other cruises that depart from River City pier. And you can always ask for a table for 2, no need to share. Good thing about those bigger boats is that they have a live band and a dance floor. Wouldn%26#39;t it be great to be dancing under the stars while floating in the River of Kings? Priceless!

Good luck and congratulations.

thankyou all so much for your suggestions i will take them all on board, hardest part now is to choose, one more week and iam there, wow cant wait!!!
