which method do you think will reap the biggest rewards?

were going in may which is in the low season so places cant be too busy especially the higher end places. looking to stay at Rasananda hotel but when we put our dates in there doesnt seem to be much discount bareing in mind its low season. if we just walked up and asked how much for 4 nights do you thik wed get a better rate?

im just trying to guage how quiet low season is. is it a bit quieter or completely desolate

Walkin should get you a good rate, however Koh Phangan can get max%26#39;d out during full moon parties so it would be wise to check your travel dates. Some places have a minimum stay during FMPs.

I%26#39;d like to jump in on the bandwagon here. We are going to Koh Phangan on 31 May and are staying for 10 nights. The FMP is on 9 June but we are staying on the other side of the island. I was also thinking of doing the turn up and see trick but would like advice as to whether this is risky considering the FMP is near the end of our stay.
