Surin Island with Kuraburi Greenview

Hi,

Today i have just come off the trip to Surin Islands with Kuraburi Greenview. What a great day out it was. Small numbers on the boat just 15 people. I was picked up from the Le Meridien at 07.30 hrs and they were prompt and on time.Just over an hour later we were at Kuraburi pier. Tea , coffee, and toast was waiting and you are supplied with a towell. masks, snorkel and fins and life jacket.The boat journey was comfortable and they have plenty of staff on hand handing out drinks ect. Safety is paramount with this company.The trip out to the islands took us 1 hour 15 minutes.

The snorkeling was fantastic we had two 40 minute snorkels from the boat and the crew will go in the water with you and show you the best spots. The marine life today was a kaleidascope of colour it was just amazing and so beautifull. The coral also is wonderfull .We then had lunch at the National Park Restaurant which was fresh cooked and delicious which was fish, noodles and vegetables in a sauce, rice ,and a thai curry dish plenty of food for everybody.You then get about 1 hour to explore or go the beach before you head back for the boat.After this we had another two snorkeling spots before heading back to Kurburi. The whole day was very memorable and i loved every minute of it.

I want to thank Mhee and Dam on the boat who came in the water with me and took me to the best spots staying with me the whole time.You can not get better guides than these. They make sure everybody has a wonderfull time . Back at the pier coffee is waiting for you before the bus back to Khao Lack.

How far in advance did you book and did you book online or contact them when you were there? Sounds a lovely trip - also how much was it?

(BTW its nor raining here......very glad as the River Severn is looking very high!!! but its cold!!)

I emailed them from the website and got this reply

';We don%26#39;t have contract Snorgeling Trip. We provide room accmomodation for

the customers only.';

Any tour agency in Khao Lak will be able to book you this tour with Kuraburi and pick up. I allways use Khaolak tours www.khaolaktours.info at the moment the price with them is 3000baht reduced from 3500.They allways answer my enquiry the same day . I have never had any problems in booking this trip last minute as they have a few boats.

Will have to look into that. I eventually managed to book a boat trip for my friends 40th birthday with someone Arandora recommmended but I still really fancy going to the Surin Islands and you husbands trip sounded really nice and well done.

Well I have also booked this trip 3000 baht. 3 weeks and 6 days til we fly out to Thailand!

Hope you enjoy the Surins as much as we did, although going for the day you will miss the unforgettable ';comfort'; of sleeping under canvas. LOL

we spent three days at Surin Island with Kuraburi and it was unforgattable experience.Great service, great fun and the best snorkeling ever.recommend everybody!
