I will be in Kata for a week in May. Can anyone assist with somewhere nearby I can hire a late model quality scooter. If you have any idea what i should expect to pay for a day/week that would be greatly appreciated.

Scooter hire in PHUKETThere are not shortage of scooter rentals places Kata... Large hotels can arrange it for you and smaller ones probably rent them on location.
Not sure of the price about about 250 baht a day?
Scooter hire in PHUKETI think it is cheaper than 250 baht a day.
And really no shortage of rental places.
Just realize that foreigners are not insured when driving a scooter. (and that every month about 15 people die in traffic on the island).
Foreigners are insured provided they ALL of the below:
1. an insurance policy that covers bike riding
and
2. have a licence to ride a bike in their own country
and
3. have a International Driver%26#39;s Permit (IDP), required by Thai law.
