Phi Phi bungalow accommodation

My family and I are going to Phi Phi over Christams and are trying to decide whether to stay at Chunut House, Garden Home or Tropical Garden bungalows. Has anyone stayed at any of them lately and if so were they OK? My husband %26amp; I are in our 50%26#39;s and our children are 20 %26amp; 22 yrs of age. We are staying for 3 nights.

Phi Phi bungalow accommodation

Hi there,

My husband and I worked on Phi Phi after the tsunami in 2005 for 3 months, and have stayed in all but Chunut House (although a friend of ours stayed there for a few months). Our very good friend Bow owns Garden home - a lovely fella, great restaurant of the same name and a lovely quiet spot away from the main beach. AMAZING rooms, especially the bathrooms which are like tropical rainforests, shower amongst the vines and plants! Great place. They have aircon and fan options and are competitively priced for Phi Phi. Lovely staff too who are quiet.

Tropical Garden is nice too, just behind Garden home up the hill (some of the bungalows are rough bamboo/ wood, others are teak. Nice spot, not damaged by the tsunami. A nice swimming pool at the top and a nice chill out area. One thing we found when we stayed here was that if you stay near the pool, it%26#39;s very noisy if people are swimming at night, and as the water for the shower is pumped uphill, there%26#39;s not always enough to go around. So we moved....

Chunut is supposed to be nice too.

So really it%26#39;s what you%26#39;re after - if you want to stay away from hills, then go Garden Home. If you want a pool (but why would you with pristine beaches 2 minutes walk away) then Tropical Garden - but see if you can get a hut away from the pool.

Good luck! Hope you love Phi Phi.

Fran :) (Melbourne)

Do you have a number for Garden Home as we are hoping to stay here at Easter. Many thanks
