my friends and i are headed to phuket/ phi phi at the end of march. going on a budget, and we%26#39;re thinking of staying at Thai Oriental in phuket for $9 per night!
can%26#39;t seem to find any cheap hostels in phi phi though. do you have any to recommend?
also, is the boat trip from phuket to phi phi more than an hour long? how much does it cost?

The boat is approx 90 mins each way, %26amp; costs 500 - 600 Baht each way.
Very little cheap accomodation on Phi Phi nowadays, maybe the Andaman Legacy is up your street, about 1500 Baht per night for an AC room. Or Jungle Inn. Most places are around the 3000 Baht per night mark.
