Swimming Pool Access

Hi,

We%26#39;ll be in Phuket in August (low season) and one of the places i want to stay at doesn%26#39;t have the biggest of pools, and seeing as though it%26#39;s low season and not sure what the beaches will be like, it would be good to know we can swim in a nice pool whenever we like.

I%26#39;m wondering if we%26#39;re allowed to go and swim in one of the larger resort pools even if we%26#39;re not staying at that hotel?

Surely if we%26#39;re spending money at their pool bar and restaurants then we%26#39;d be allowed to swim there...

Let me know.

Many hotels allow you to swim for a fee. You would need to ask the hotel.

As long as you don%26#39;t make a nuisance of yourself, and don%26#39;t try to sign for a towel, how could they possibly know ?

Choose a big hotel, bring your own towels etc in a carry bag, pay cash, don%26#39;t go too early or too late, stay in the less populated areas of the hotel, and just don%26#39;t bring it up. Have some sort of cover story ready (but you wont need it).

You don%26#39;t say where you are staying, but if it%26#39;s in Patong, I recommend Patong Merlin or Gracelands, they are well set up for sneaky swimming.
