never thought I would see the day!... I don%26#39;t know if this has happened to anyone else but the last few trips I have been finding it more and more difficult finding a taxi to the airport that was willing to use the meter.

But to answer the OPs question it looks like it will connect with the MRT at Petchburi, where there will also be a check in, and the BTS at Payathai.With them quoting travelling time of 15mins express and charging B150 I know what I will be using

There is one connection. Vans run to the airport from Victory Monument for 70 baht. Catch the vans just below the walkway from the BTS station. Watch for the sign ';Victory Point.'; Cheap way to get to the airport if you don%26#39;t have much luggage.
