hi i emailed jermsak twice this week and still no reply....is he still doing tours?can anyone recommend similar guide for march....desperate

If you cannot contact Jermsak, try his friend who started off as a driver for him. We used Tony at Tony Smile Travel recently and cannot rave enough about him. Tony%26#39;s English was great, he is a kind, warm and generous man who is a joy to be with. He won my heart by watching the way he treated and interacted with the tribal village people. Keep trying. I am sure Tony is wonderful but Jermsak is one of a kind. I am writing my trip report right now and I will tell you that having Jermsak as a guide totally MADE my trip. His English is VERY good. He is kind, thoughtful and an excellent driver, but most of all he LISTENS. He gave us the trip we asked for, few guides can do that. He is flexible. We tried to take on too much and decided (at 9pm) the night before meeting with him to delay the start of our day by three hours. He didn%26#39;t tell us until much later in our trip that he had come to Chiang Mai a day ahead to meet with us. Had he known in advance he could have spent the night with his family in Chiang Rai. He is a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

I have traveled to many places and had many guides. I do not expect to ever have one that is better than Jermsak.

We are big fans of Jermsak as well.

You hit the nail on the head by saying that he listens. He is not at all pushy and there is no expectation to buy. He is very good at reading a situation and anticipating what is needed. We%26#39;ve been traveling to Thailand for 20 years and he is also by far the best guide we have ever had.
